Once Upon Singapore

Once Upon Singapore was a final year Design Communications degree project by Seah YunXin held at Math Paper Press. I was told that every artifacts held fond memories for her school mates, friends and contributors such as Kelley Cheng, Kenny Lek, Royston Tan, Yah-Leng Yu and Yasser Suratman. Besides the featuring objects from the creatives, the venue itself have lots of old objects that are for sale and that also seems like part of the exhibition. Juwind, Janet, Grace and me all have a fun time stamping the various stamps on the template postcards. The exhibition is definitely worth my visit on the last day and it just felt like I've taken a walk down memory lane.

Once Upon Singapore

" The wave of nostalgia transcends time. This phenomenon hits everyone - young and old. We revere nostalgia and revel in collecting old objects that are of sentimental value. These personal items encapsulate bittersweet memories and are reflective of significant periods in our lives. As we go through life's various seasons, these articles serve as narratives, seamlessly relating anecdotes and experiences that contribute to shaping us in more ways than one. Growing up in Singapore holds fond memories for many close friends, school mates and contributors of this exhibition. This display seeks to bring together reminiscent minds in celebration of the stories that speak volumes. "
