Etsy Pick Of The Week : Hankies

I still can remember using hankies was part of my childhood, girls will always compare with each other their hankie prints in school. Many a time, my mama always purchase very beautiful prints for me which I can't bear to use and would rather keep as collectibles. As we grew older with the popularity of tissue papers, I've thought of starting a collection of hankies.

If there's a choice of where I want to stay, it would be here at Holland Avenue Block 8. This community art project gathered many youths, residents and corporate sponsors working together for 1.5 months to paint pop-art themed murals for the void deck. The whole block seems brighten up with the reinterpretations of famous murals and artworks by Roy Lichtenstein, Andy Warhol and Keith Haring (with a Singapore twist). If there are more of such blocks with beautiful murals, I'm sure there would be more joy around the residents.

Wouldn't it be nice just to relax at the void deck enjoying the wall murals ? Not enough of the murals, there's more here !

Colors Monday Hello Mello

I believe Art and Food can banish Monday Blues and hope this post will help to banish yours as well. I am glad that I went, saw Yusuke Shimura live drawing at the little dröm store and tasted Kki collabration cake. * In case you do not know about this artist, it was written on Straits Time that he had created works for Apple Store in Tokyo and Osaka as well as collabrated with Porter by Yoshida & Co.*

Yusuke Shimura whimsical “Hello Mello” can be seen everywhere, some well hidden and some in the place you least expected. Drömkeepers called it the guerrilla style.
