The Wedding Dress

This was an exhibition in The National Museum Of Singapore that required admission fee but was totally free on the Night Festival day. It was exciting to be transported back to the early 1800s and walking through the wedding aisles to the current wedding fashion from the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.

The wedding dress in slightly pink was tailored using silk faille and silk net well decorated with antique lace, John Galliano for Dior, Paris 2002.

The Wedding Dress

This was the most stunning dress I love in the exhibition, dress white silk satin sheath studded with pearl-embroidered transparent stars and insertions with soft silk tulle borders to the wide hem-length hanging sleeves, and an amazing 18-foot train scattered with satin applique and beaded stars, Norman Hartnell, 1933.

New days, New ways,
Pass by. Love Stays

Time is Too Slow for those who Wait,
Too Swift for those who Fear,
Too Long for those who Grieve,
Too Short for those who Rejoice;
But for those who Love, Time is Not." ~ Henry Van Dyke
