Nom Nom .... Necessary Provisions

I didn't make it when Henry Congressional was around so when they finally opened Homebodies in Boat Quay and now Necessary Provisions in Eng Kong Terrance, I make it a point to go as soon as I knew. I thought there is no need to rush down but obviously mouth of word spread fast for good places :D

I had a great afternoon there eating the Rosemary Chicken with Watercress and Parmigiano Sandwich, their signature pandan chiffon cake and dark chocolate cookie. I'm totally in loveeeeeee with my Iced Espresso In Milk, served in a cup was two ice cubes of espresso coffee and a cold bottle of milk where I can pour the amount I like into the iced espresso cubes. The favour changes as the iced coffee cubes melted and addition of more or less milk. I want to come back soon for the after 6 menu before the crowd starts.

Another thumbs up gem hidden in the quiet private estate, the West seems to be getting more exciting :D

Howdy ! Great to hear that there would be another popup from the lovely gals of Sadie Rose at Nylon Coffee Roasters on next Sunday, October 14. This would be the LAST bakesale since the space next to Nylon was taken up.

I've realized the folks here in Nylon Coffee Roasters are as passionate about their coffee as Liberty Coffee owners. It is very welcoming to have such a little nice coffee spot which is just nearby to Grin Affair in the sleepy Everton Park Estate.

Nylon Coffee Roasters primary business is roasting and retailing instead of just selling coffee as a cafe therefore take-away would be a better option especially of the small shop space. The folks here have great knowledge and patiently explained to me about the characteristics and favours of the beans which is much appreciated for coffee dummy like me. If you are interested to know more and purchase good coffee beans, this is the place to drop by and support !

Next Door Deli a hidden gem in Ang Mo Kio estate with white washed wall on the exterior clearly stand out from the neighbours. Self service with the help of the instructions and menu on the walls. The recommended dish is the Wok-fried Laksa but was too spicy for our liking and instead favourite for the day is Crispy-grilled Chicken Steak. I've heard that their Pacific Dory Fillet with Classic Fries was yummy so that would be my next try. The shop is pretty small with some al fresco dining but be prepared for the crowd if you want to try the food here during lunch hours.
