I can never imagine this pop up happening on the sixth floor of the carpark in People's Park Complex even though I have visited this place many years back. The charm of this old building never fails to attract me to always come back quietly for a visit.

Here you can find workshops and sessions organised by NÓNG of Edible Gardens or even buy some seeds and gardening equipment. Furniture, kitchenware, and attractive useful items on sale by Naiise and awesome quality goods from independent makers sourced by Haystakt. It was such a pity that the lovely space would be only till end March and I hope I have share with you too late.

















Just in case if you have missed the pop-up, you can always visit Haystakt’s online new crowd-pricing platform – PROJECTS . Customers influence on the price of a product based on the more it was ordered, the lesser the consumers pay.

If you have visited Temporium, you will know about the beautiful ceramics sold there. I am already eyeing on the ceramic tea cups moulded from bamboo stems by Weekend Workers feat. Ong Su Loon so please support and I can get at a lower price :D

Nom Nom .... Keong Saik Snacks // The Library

Does the name Jason Atherton sounds familiar to you ? Yes first he opened the popular Esquina which is nearby, then follow by Pollen at Gardens by the Bay and now Keong Saik Snacks. The bistro is pretty small accommodating a maximum of 30 pax. This was my first meeting with Emily and the main reason why we settled here was because they opened till late so this was a great night dining place.

The menu was pretty simply and they mainly serves classic comfort food with a modern twist from around the world. We didn't ordered the signature DIY Tuna Tartare and Jason's Very Hot Dog, instead Emily had the "A Very English Breakfast" and I had the "Lobster Roll" following by the homemade ice cream which I find it yummy. The food portions are small since they are supposed to be snacks and presentations are as beautiful as the industrial-chic decor.

Besides having our dinner, the interesting part is that somewhere next door is "The Library" where you can continued the second part of the night reading or drinking. The Library is a free reference library dedicated to the creative fields of architecture, design, art and photographs. The wide variety of books were choosen by many creative professionals for The Library's collection. I spotted a few of my favourites on the shelves and the creative work by Dawn Ng on the wall. Recently The Library is having their pop-up store in Sunny Hills @ Raffles Hotel Arcade till 15 May, be sure to pop by soon.

Finally BakeSale

Howdy ! Great to hear that there would be another popup from the lovely gals of Sadie Rose at Nylon Coffee Roasters on next Sunday, October 14. This would be the LAST bakesale since the space next to Nylon was taken up.

Do drop by as they don’t know when or where their bakesale will happen again, so this might be your last chance in a long time to have delicious cakes and bakes from Sadie Rose with your usual coffees at Nylon Coffee Roasters. I be out of town and miss the event again :(

Colors Monday Hello Mello

I believe Art and Food can banish Monday Blues and hope this post will help to banish yours as well. I am glad that I went, saw Yusuke Shimura live drawing at the little dröm store and tasted Kki collabration cake. * In case you do not know about this artist, it was written on Straits Time that he had created works for Apple Store in Tokyo and Osaka as well as collabrated with Porter by Yoshida & Co.*

Yusuke Shimura whimsical “Hello Mello” can be seen everywhere, some well hidden and some in the place you least expected. Drömkeepers called it the guerrilla style.
 

 

 

 

Really loves the little details - customised wooden frame and signature on the back of each drawing.

Kki and The Litle Dröm Store beautifully decorated while we waited patiently for his arrival in the evening.

Nom Nom .... CrazyWorld Cafe 疯狂世界 【CLOSED】

这是我和Juwind第一次踏进疯狂世界用餐。听Juwind 有来过这里参加过小型的音乐会但没有用餐的机会而只是站着欣赏。 我喜欢疯狂世界, 一间很独特的小店， 音乐会， 餐厅和售卖本地设计的个性商品都在一个地方真是好方便。 墙上挂着一些丹戎巴葛火车总站的照片好象一个小型的展览会， 可以边用餐边欣赏那个让好多人怀念的地方。我觉得我们的小岛就是少了这一类型的个性小店所以我应该多去捧场， 支持好音乐好商品好食物。 有经过牛车水记得去疯狂世界捧场。 意淋，棉花糖，宇珩，鄭可為，插班生都有在这里演出过，若对音乐有兴趣可以多查查它们的活動。
