Imaginary Vacation Friday .... End of the World Cinema

Where is the weirdest place you have ever watched a movie ? I guess many people would have watched a movie in an outdoor or indoor theatre but I suppose nothing can be comparable with watching movie at the foot of a desert mountain range. Situated in desert of Sinai was the dream theatre of a French man. Though he managed to built the theatre, local authorities were not too happy about it therefore no movie were ever screened in this out of place movie theatre.

Estonian photographer Kaupo Kikkas recently visited Egypt and brought back these amazing photos of the End of the World Cinema.

(PS : Try searching on google map for the End of the World Cinema )

Imaginary Vacation Friday

Have you ever taken a trip of about 7500 Km ? This footage shot using Canon 7D and 18-200mm Canon lenses by Rubén Sánchez from Factoria was during a transmongolian and transsiberian travel from Beijing (China) to Ulaanbataar (Mongolia capital) then to Irkusk (Siberia ,Russia) and ending in Moscow (Russia). It was such a fascinating journey that I would love to hop onto the train immediately too.

Imaginary Vacation Friday by Louis Vuitton

I pretty sure not many people will buy or even notice the presence of Louis Vuitton City Guide when you stepped into the boutique. I am attracted by the convenience of having a small pocket travel guide book and of course the beautiful book cover as well. This year Louis Vuitton City Guide 2013 had add on 4 European countries, there are a total of forty cities guide books for your selection.

Peek through the short video narrations about Paris, New York, San Francisco and Tokyo made by Louis Vuitton and I am sure you will be as tempted as me to plan for a holiday soon.

I NEED A HOLIDAYYYYY !

Imaginary Vacation Friday

Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route (立山黒部アルペンルート ) located in high altitude of more than 3000 metres is my "must" vacation before I turn fifty years old. Only operating for about 7 months a year from Mid April to End November and nothing much to rave about the old fashioned Hotel Tateyama.

(image via Wikipedia)

What attract many people is that this place is located at the highest point in Japan. The panoramic view of the 3000 meter mountains at the hotel rooftop, at night where the stardust is almost seems to be within reach and Yuki-no-Otani (Snow Corridor) of about 17 metre nearby the hotel and many more beautiful views throughout the seasons, I wonder what am I waiting for ?

If you're looking for the earliest to see autumn leaves and snowing then visit Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route, then make sure you plan in advance and bring the necessary for an enjoyable trip.

These were the bits and pieces of my 2012 vacation in the Bangkok, from wandering to discovering and enjoying myself so much that I do start to miss Bangkok when I'm writing this post. I realized I'm enjoying so much that the photos are less than I've imaging. There were too many indie shops and cafes to discover and this would be a good reason to visit again.

I do hope my next visit would be soon ! I am loving Thailand !

[ Thailand ] Nom Nom .... Vanilla Garden

Vanilla Garden well hidden in the Ekkamai neighbourhood consists of three independent buildings in the same compound houses "Sauce", "Royal Vanilla" and "Vanilla Cafe". You could enjoy a relaxing day eating Chinese cuisine in Royal Vanilla or Japanese inspired food in Vanilla Cafe or inspired yourself with a wide selection of cookbooks from Sauce. I was totally enchanted when stepping into the garden.

The dark classy Chinese tea house interior Royal Vanilla served delicate dim sums and Chinese food fare. The price of the food may be on the high side but it was simply delicious. I had to remind myself to save some stomach space for more food in Vanilla Cafe.

Vanilla Cafe reminds me of Tokyo, the food, the interior and decor. Except the weather, I'm lovin it here.

Does it remind you of any Japanese Cafe ? I've heard good and bad reviews about this place but I've enjoyed myself here for the day. Plan for a visit if you are going to Bangkok, judge for yourself.
