Last November together with Juwind, Janet and Grace we explored Tuckshop cafe hidden on the 7th floor of an industrial precinct along Paya Lebar Road. It wasn't too difficult for us and we totally enjoyed ourselves in the indie location (means not so crowded during off peak hours) and were tucking into fish & chips (that's was strongly recommended by many), spaghetti and desserts.
Besides food, Tuckshop a cafe-cum-furniture store also sells furniture from their boutique furniture arm, Emilyhills furniture Studio in the mezzanine floor. If you are looking for big group gatherings, this is a good location with the long communal table.
