Nom Nom .... Flock Cafe

Just when I thought that there should not be any more new cafes in Tiong Bahru Estate, here's come a family owned Flock Cafe. Besides finding an all-day breakfast menu, sandwiches and salads accompanied with selection coffees or gourmet teas, I also find great service in the pleasant ambiance cafe. Together with my dear friend, we totally enjoyed sharing our Rocket & Portobello salad with Scrambled Egg & Toast. I passed by last Saturday again to see that Flock cafe is serving now the Speakeasy Blend from Liberty Coffee and in case if you like the coffee, the beans are for sale too.

We've decided to visit Five & Dime after much good reviews about their food.  With sis having the experience of being turn away on Sunday, I've decided not to take any chance but to lunch here (with reservation) as soon as they started the operation. Lunch at noon was great without the overwhelming crowds, we ate at ease with plenty of time to enjoy every detailed from the coasters, menu, the decor and to the food that impressed us.

I love the stand alone restaurant full of glass window that makes it bright and cheery to enjoy your meal here in the day and romantically in the night. Sis made a great choice of the spaghetti with mentaiko pasta while my spaghetti is just so so. Simple menu that served comfort food vary for the day, night and brunch so be prepared to come at different timing if you would like to try more variety.

Nom Nom .... Food No.03

Wake up to a day where the sun, rain and rainbow come and go within minutes. This was the 3rd time in March that I spotted rainbow. I was feeling happy that finally no longer visit the familiar places where I would spent every precious Sunday. But instead went to new places and talked to strangers.

Nom Nom .... Forty Hands + Books (Part I)

Started the day with delicious sushi that just never seems enough. Not sure how many times I've been to Forty Hands but simply miss my portobello mushroom sandwich and mocha. I totally fall in love with Tiong Bahru mix of art deco and straits settlement architectural styles. Leisurely strolling in the neighbourhood, having a nice cuppa of coffee and read some new books from Books Actually is the best way to spend my afternoon. If you happen to be there, spend a little time to enjoy the nice environment and help a little by donating to Bob the cat fund (in Books Actually).
